In reading Bible verses, the book of John is a very good place to begin, with a special emphasis upon the Deity of the Lord Jesus Christ. John was one of Jesus' closest disciples. At the crucifixion of the Lord, it was John, the only disciple who stayed with Jesus' mother at the foot of the cross. It was the elderly Apostle John who, while banished to the Isle of Patmos, received "The Revelation."
