John and Emma Maytrott came to Vineland and built this home in about 1895. Their son Warren W. Maytrott is standing with them, with daughter Laura on the bicycle.
Yes, this little boy is Warren W. Maytrott, who converted his father's grape vineyard to a dahlia farm, Dahliadel Nurseries.
Here is John Maytrott in his vineyard. Take a closer look at that box of grapes. See next picture!

My good friend Beverly Parsons and I are in the cold frame at Dahliadel (summer of 1954), picking up pots to store in crates. Notice the greenhouse and 50s cars in the background. I remember, we earned 5 cents per crate--BIG money for kids in the 1950s!!
The next pictures of "Dahliadel in the 1920s and 1930s" are thanks to Kyle Carter, great grandson-in-law of the Dahliadel Maytrotts!! Kyle used a special film scanner to scan these pictures from black and white negatives!
Pictures in the "Dahliadel of the 1960s" section are thanks to Aunt Elsie (Maytrott) Greenhalgh!
